Intel, unwilling to use a competitor's technology (Hypertransport),  
teamed up with IBM to develop an "enhancement" to PCI-Express called  
Geneseo, in a similar way to its 1990's "enhancement" of the PCI  
standard to create AGP.  Yay.  Not.
