Godaddy seems OK, I've no real complaints.

1) If you want godaddy to setup wordpress, they will, but I believe you
sacrifice some control.

2) You can set it up yourself almost as easily,
http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress, using godaddy's admin
tools and still retain full control over the files and db.

You can do option 2 if you have an ftp client and can figure out the
mysql admin tools godaddy provides. I found it to be pretty simple.

I chose option 2 for installing gallery2 and joomla.
