I've stopped reading *all* IT magazines because they're *all* useless  
at reporting anything other than a summary of the marketing  
materials.  "Back in the day" you could expect detailed, multi-page  
reviews that accurately compared functionality, today its "this has a  
processor, look at its pretty blue color".

Magazines seem to have shied away from doing direct comparisons  
because that makes the products look bad, and if you make products  
look bad then you're not going to be able to get advertising money  
from the manufacturers or sellers, or make the industry as a whole  
look bad.  Its this latter aspect that *really* ticks me off.
