nVidia is reviving the old "GTS" moniker instead of the "GT" for the
G80, something not seen since the NV1x (GeForce2).

It's clear the engines in the G8x series are more revolutionary than
evolutionary -- probably the first major change since the NV3x
(GeForce FX) which the NV4x (GeForce 6) and G7x (GeForce 7) evolved
from. As such, performance might not be as superior out-the-gate --
at least not for the clocks involved -- and it will probably be the
G9x in late 2007 or 2008 that will refine the tweaks. Let alone
that's before we consider the power-use v. performance at current
feature sizes, resulting die and raw power hunger in the G8x.
