Not if the SATA channels are connected to a dedicated PCIe x1 channel
or the HyperTransport itself.

But in all seriousness, the 8006-2 will be fine for 2 drives.  You're
not going to get much of a performance hit -- just don't put anything
else on the 32-bit PCI bus you expect to get performance out of.
