Ack!  I should have held off for just a few months.  Now the
WD32000JD SATA drives are $107 shipped:

These are the exact same, 80GB x 4 platter drives I have in
my Chenming 118 box.  I bought them for around $160 minus $30
rebate each.

FYI, the "JD" models (Caviar SE) are the consumer-grade
drives.
The "SD" models (Caviar RE) are the RAID/server-tested
versions with a 5-year warranty (with quite a bit of
upcharge).
