But I don't really such much in saving $5 over all the LG GSA-408x and
416x product compatibility, history and reliability I've had (other than

Let us know.  If the product is solid, I'll add it to my
recommendations.  Especially if you can use the stock "cdrecord
+DVDpatch" in many distros, instead of having to grab Jorg's "cdrecord-
ProDVD".
