His ISP's website was seriously screwed up and gave 500 errors every
time he tried to recover his password.

He eventually bit the bullet and deleted/recreated his e-mail account.
It's not a high-volume account so he's unlikely to have lost anything
of importance.

The ironic thing was, about 10 mins after blatting the account he
remembered the old password.  Go figure...
