And until today I was wondering what the importance was.  I'm glad this 
threaded showed up.

My only problem is the cost of DVI KVM switches.  I suppose I can keep a DVI 
LCD on a direct connection to my desktop and make the secondary head my KVM 
head.  That'd work, unless I went DVI on my second monitor and really wanted 
to not convert from DVI to VGA back to DVI through the KVM.  Sigh.
