googling and reading sites like Anandtech had alot of the info I was
looking for...basically 300 MB/sec bursts

Ok...so given that my motherboard already has a SATA connection...and
(hopefully) it's on some kinda 'dedicated' or internal bus...then this
seems to be the best cost/performance contender? (thanks Damien / Bryan)
